On April 1st 2019, programming for Tri- City Charm School and Pageant was launched at Mt. Cyrene Baptist Church Learning Center located at 25159 Deblieux St. Plaquemine, LA. The course content, location, materials, meals, shirts, and the ability to do it all comes with a fee. Tri-City Charm was given a generous donation of $2000 from supportive friends after we asked God for permission and help to fulfill our obligations to be the example and instruct the young women in ourselves, our households, and other young women that could benefit from it. The free workshops listed were available to young girls between the ages of 9-17 except for the In-School Workshop provided at PHS.

17-26 young girls between the ages of 9-17 were enrolled into our free workshops.

Tri-City Charm School workshops include the fundamentals on communication skills,

 health, hygiene, style, fashion, presenting skills, interviewing skills, makeup tutorials,

finances, manners, etiquette, culture & world views, charm, self-assurance, patience, the

art of communication, duty, responsibility, loyalty, confidence, respect, writing, skit/play,

showcase, and chorus. Students arrive at 4 pm and are given a snack as homework is

being done for after school enrichment. Dinner is also provided. Workshop classes can

range from 1-2 hours with a lot or minimal activity. Guest instructors lead workshop

activities on scheduled days and lesson plan is prepared more than 24 hours prior to

class. Students are picked up at the front of the building at 8:00 pm sharply.  Upon

completion of our 4-week program, each young lady was awarded a certificate of

completion, a charm school t-shirt, and a possible advancement to our upcoming

pageant in January. Some have, but all are also encouraged to enroll in our other

classes and programs that will further educate and advance them on their individual

journeys.  

• Tri-City Charm School and Pageant / PHS In-School Mentorship Program

Plaquemine High School, Plaquemine, LA - (4-week workshop) August 2019

Tri-City Charm School and Pageant provided community outreach programming dedicated to teaching pre-adolescent and adolescent women and recently added young men the societal foundations needed in order to expand their interests while also teaching them how to carry themselves in a more mindful way. During the 12:15 pm lunch period provided by the school, we partner with a local educational facility that observes space and time available for their students to register and attend in school during their lunch and break time. Our programs are intended to lower students risk for substance abuse, premarital sex and unplanned preganancies, and the involvement with the juvenile justice system all while promoting a healthier lifestyle. Our ultimate goal is to aid in the discovery of societal structures for the advancement for every transitioning young person who participates to achieve in life by building a holistic and faith-based systematic group of teens that can heal, empower, and do positive and great things in their communities.

• Tri-City Charm School and Pageant Afterschool Program (August 6, 2019)

Tri-City Charm School and Pageant has teamed with the best local educators, life coaches, teaching artists, authors, and business leaders. At 4 pm, professional mental health specialists volunteer and are partnered with each student in order to receive special quality mentorship that aids in mental health and awareness. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. students are dropped off at the 24030 Eden Street in Plaquemine, Louisiana for Tri-City Charm School and Pageant after school programs. Anyone picked up past 9:00 pm will incur additional payments.

• Tri-City Charm School is currently hosting revolving 4-week classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with one week to a month off in between which depends on events and fundraising plans. 

• Tuesdays, Thursdays, weekends and some holidays will be reserved as official off days too; as most of the weekends and holidays are reserved for fundraising events.
